What will I find at Creative Yarns?
We believe our selection of yarns rivals that of any shop in the country. Over 200 vendors supply our store with yarn, needles, accessories, roving, books and patterns. We carry the “big” companies, such as Rowan, Plymouth and Cascade, as well as the independents. Our special focus is on yarns which are grown and spun in the US, as well as yarns which are “eco friendly.”

How is your store different from the chain/box stores?
The yarns we carry cannot be found at Michael’s, Walmart or JoAnn’s. In addition to quality yarns and accessories, we believe we offer quality service. Our goal is to help you find exactly what you are looking for, be it a certain pattern, yarn or needle. All of us knit and crochet, so we understand the products we sell.

Are any of your products “green?”
At Creative Yarns we take pride in our environment. One of our showrooms is completely stocked with all natural, organic and recycled yarns and accessories. We also have a selection of un-dyed and un-treated wool.

Can you special order yarns?
Of course! We are happy to place special orders. We can’t control when yarn companies receive and ship their stock, but we will let you know if there will be a delay. Most companies get special orders to us within a week.

Do you offer classes?
Our staff teaches a variety of classes designed to make learning fun! We offer basic beginner knit and crochet, yarn dyeing, and spinning and weaving classes. Specialty classes which allow you to focus on a particular project are also available. Please see our class schedule and information under the “classes” link of our website. How quickly will you ship my yarn?
Our goal is to provide timely shipping. We are a bricks and mortar establishment, with regular business hours, so a Sunday order may not be reviewed until Monday morning. We promise excellent communication so that you will know exactly when your order has shipped, and we encourage you to call or e-mail us with any concerns.
